From providing working space to fabrication assistance, general advice to public talks, Pangaea Sculptors' Centre is a not-for-profit Community Interest Company who are helping to facilitate sculptural, artistic practices and strengthen the community. Here's a little more about them:
Pangaea Sculptors’ Centre (PSC) is currently operating on a project-by-project basis in anticipation of securing a permanent base, mirroring trends in artistic working methods. This modular approach enables us to respond to opportunities and collaborations that come our way as we continue developing various facets of our longer-term ambition. Look out for news of upcoming activities on our website.
Our long-term aim is to develop PSC as a sculpture-forward, London-based art centre that provides space and services to meet the needs of sculptors and other practitioners of three-dimensional art. Central to our ethos is that artists should be able to further their practice without the constraint caused by a lack of access to equipment and facilities. PSC aims to advance sculptural skills, practical knowledge and understanding and to promote the critical appreciation of this art form more broadly. Exhibitions of large-scale artworks and educational programming also support PSC’s growing community of sculptors and sculpture enthusiasts (critics, curators, collectors and others) as they engage this art form within the broader field of contemporary art.
